AND has higher precedence than OR, so this evaluates as dept = 'Sales' OR (dept = 'Eng' AND salary > 92000). Alice and Bob satisfy dept = 'Sales'. Carol is in Eng but salary 90000 is not > 92000. Always use parentheses when mixing AND and OR to make intent explicit.
